Ken Morrow was a member of the 1980 USA “Miracle on Ice” Olympic Gold Hockey Team that captivated the world with their win against the dominate Soviet Union in the semi-finals. The team moved on to defeat Finland and won Gold. Morrow continued to play for the NHL’s New York Islanders from 1980 to 1989, and a was a key member of four consecutive Stanley Cup Championships from 1980 to 1983. Morrow was inducted into the US Hockey Hall of fame in 1995. Since his playing days, Morrow has raised his family in Kansas City over the past 30 plus years, and was co-coach of the International Hockey League’s Kansas City franchise in 1990-91. Morrow has helped grow ice-based sports in Missouri and the Midwest as president of KCIce, an outdoor ice rink development management company based in Kansas City. Morrow continues to work with the New York Islanders as Director of Professional Scouting.
