Zona Rosa stays involved with the Northland and greater Kansas City community, routinely working with groups and organizations to showcase local talent, including entertainers and artists, hosting 5ks, clothing drives, school music groups, feeding homeless initiatives and more.
Community Mural Project
Zona Rosa supported North Kansas City Hospital (NKCH) with a Community Mural Project launched with National Nurses’ week in May 2020. The community was invited to submit hand colored pictures and for every picture submitted, a donation was made to NKCH. A “quilt” window mural is currently on display across from Barnes & Noble as a thank you to our healthcare workers: Zona Rosa contributed $2,000 to NKCH Employee Appreciation Fund. Learn more here.
Feed Northland Kids (FNK) provides funds to sustain and expand the BackSnack program in elementary schools in Clay and Platte County and several on-site food pantries in select schools. Zona Rosa has supported this Northland non-profit throughout the past decade, including hosting the annual Bill Cross 5k on property.
Buy a Meal. Give a Meal.
In the Spring of 2020, the community was invited to buy a meal (whether take-out, delivery or even a gift card) at one of the participating Zona Rosa restaurants and then a portion of those sales were donated to Feed Northland Kids and their BackSnacks and Community Food Kits programs. As a result of the initiative, Zona Rosa was able to give $5,ooo to Feed Northland Kids. Learn more here.
