Abuelo's features statues hand carved by artists in the stone-carving villages around Guadalajara, Mexico, and colorful classic murals.
Since 'Abuelo' is Spanish for "grandfather," or "respected elderly statesman", many of the statues are representations of respected leaders and important figures in Mexican history.
The colorful Murals of Abuelo's are interpretations of murals painted in Mexico from 1920 to 1940 by three famous Mexican muralists: Diego Rivera, Jose Clemente Orozco, and David Alfaro Siquieros.
This restaurant serves traditional Mexican fare, steaks, seafood, drinks and desserts.

We love Abuelo's. It's our favorite restaurant. Every time we go there we get great food and excellent service. I just read in Consumer Reports Magazine that they rataed Abuelo's the number one Mexican restaurant in the country! I'm glad we have one here in the Northland. I had lunch with some friends from Kansas City and I really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere of your restaurant. The service was impeccable and the inside of the restaurant was friendly and refreshing! I hope to have lunch or even dinner the next time I'm in the Zona Rosa area. I want to thank you and your staff for the excellent service we had yesterday. We were the party of 25 that came in after the Ovarian Cancer Whisper Walk and requested we all sit together.
