The Zona Rosa Community Foundation
Established by the owners of Zona Rosa, the Zona Rosa Community Foundation focuses on providing meaningful support to youth and families in the greater Kansas City area. The Community Foundation, funded by parking meter proceeds and ticket revenues, offers significant support to area nonprofit organizations through the Change for Charity Meter Program, the Zona Rosa Scholarship Fund and Community Event Sponsorships.
Change for Charity Meter Program
Six organizations are selected annually to receive a portion of the parking meter proceeds and ticket revenues generated at Zona Rosa. The first recipient of the Change for Charity Meter Program was Synergy Services. Synergy’s mission is to eliminate family violence, abuse and neglect by providing quality services for persons of all ages. In addition to the proceeds, the recipient receives the benefit of signage exposure around Zona Rosa.
Applications for the Change for Charity program are accepted through October of the year preceding disbursement. Groups interested in applying for consideration need to submit an official request form, any supplemental informational materials outlining the organization, a 501 C-3 copy and send to Pam Marticke at Zona Rosa’s Management Office.
