Established in 1993, LattéLand Espresso & Tea is the Country Club Plaza’s original specialty coffee and tea retailer. We enjoy a strong presence and reputation for excellence as part of the Kansas City community. LattéLand Espresso & Tea focuses on serving the finest single origin coffees from around the world, allowing our customers to enjoy the subtle, but wonderful differences amongst coffee growing regions and countries. Additionally, we use 100% locally roasted coffee that is delivered daily in order to ensure our customers receive the freshest coffee possible. LattéLand also uses directly imported tea to serve our unique variety of Tea Lattes, as well as traditionally steeped tea.
HISTORY
LattéLand was started in 1993 by Jeff Schmidt and Clark Greenlee, as they envisioned bringing Kansas Citians a small daily luxury, well before the arrival of Starbucks. Due to the strong support from the community, Jeff and Clark opened a second location in 1998, which added fruit smoothies to the line-up of beverages.
FUTURE
Today LattéLand is stronger than ever and will again grow in 2006 by adding additional company-owned locations in Kansas City. In order to continue the growth and strong support that we have received, we will continue to introduce new and innovative products, give back to the community that has led to our success and provide a solid working environment for our baristas to enjoy a healthy work/life balance that so many people are trying to achieve.
