BO LINGS WINS CHINESE RESTAURANT NEWS’ TOP 100 CHINESE RESTAURANTS IN AMERICA AWARD
Bo Lings Fine Chinese Cuisine, a favorite Kansas City restaurant for almost 25 years now, has recently been presented with the Top 100 Chinese Restaurants in America Award by the national publication Chinese Restaurant News.
Owner Richard Ng of Bo Lings was honored at the All Asia Food Expo in New York City recently. Bo Lings was chosen out of 40,889 Chinese establishments in the United States for this honor. Martin Yan, Master Chef and Television cooking show host of “Yan Can Cook”, congratulated the 100 award recipients via video appearance from Japan, where he is currently working on a film project with Silver Chang. “We have cause to celebrate here tonight, because this kind of ranking is long overdue,” Yan said. ”We all know there are a lot more good restaurants out there to be discovered.” He saluted all of the Chinese restaurants in the US and said, “May you prosper and carry forth the skills and pleasures of Chinese cooking to all of America!”
Many of you have probably dined at one of the four Kansas City locations of Bo Ling’s Fine Chinese Cuisine, at the Plaza Board of Trade at 4800 Main, Gateway Plaza at 91st and Metcalf, Orchard Corner Center at 95th and Quivira, and Old Metcalf Center at 135th and Metcalf.
