Canine Code of Conduct

Zona Rosa is now dog friendly! We welcome you and your well-behaved dog to enjoy your visit to the common areas of Zona Rosa, In addition, merchants that permit dogs will have a ‘dog friendly’ sticker on their door or window to indicate that customers may bring their dogs into the store. Dogs and their owners visiting Zona Rosa will be expected to abide by these simple rules:

All pets must be leashed or contained inside a carrier at all times and kept under the physical control of their owners. Leashes must be no longer than 6' and retractable leashes are not permitted.

Pets must be under the direct control of their owners at all times. Owners must be eighteen years of age or older, and are responsible for the behavior of their pets.

At no time is an owner permitted to leave his or her pet unattended anywhere on Zona Rosa property.

Pets are not permitted to enter any restaurant or food-related stores, unless they are in the company of and trained to assist physically challenged persons.

Pet owners are required to pick up and properly dispose of the feces of their pets. Pet waste pick-up/disposal stations are available at our parks for 'when doody calls'.

Pets are not permitted to urinate on buildings or hardscapes. Pets must be licensed in the jurisdictional area they reside and have a current vaccination for rabies.

If at any time, a Zona Rosa representative determines that the behavior of a pet is causing any disturbance to others (including excessive barking or in any way disturbing the peace) or the pet is acting aggressively, the owner will be asked to immediately remove his or her pet from the premises.

Pet owners are required to comply with the laws, rules and regulations of the state of Missouri and local codes relating to pets. All Zona Rosa merchants will have a sticker on their door or window to indicate that dogs are welcome in their store. These stores may have additional rules that must be adhered to, at their individual discretion.

Violators of these codes may be subject to expulsion or trespass. Thank you for your attention and compliance with these codes!

Community Relations

Olshan Properties developments act as civic centers - places designed to meet community needs and act as a center for community activity.

Unlike the traditional interior mall development process which often requires clearing attractive surroundings to make way for asphalt parking lots, a new urban retail center seeks to sustain or even add 'greenspace' to the landscape. Trees, plants and water features are integral to the center's design sensibility. The surrounding landscape remains intact to the greatest degree possible.

The social aspect of a Olshan Properties new urban retail center focuses on developing a sense of community. There is a true commitment to achieving measurable community impact. The establishment of the Zona Rosa Community Foundation has resulted in the awarding of scholarships at nearby high schools, charitable contribution of revenues from the on-street parking meters and the hosting of major community events on the Town Square to support the community in meaningful ways.

The most compelling statement that can be made about a Olshan Properties development is that its founding principle is 'sustained use'. The fully-realized Town Center, shopping districts, park and community areas are intended to survive not just a few decades but for future generations.

You are welcome to email comments and questions regarding any aspect of community relations at Zona Rosa to us using our contact form.

Employment

The majority of our tenants are always accepting applications for current and future openings. To find out about immediate openings, it's recommended that you check tenants' individual pages on the website and use the telephone number provided to contact them if you have specific questions about available positions. We're not able to be involved in the hiring processes for our tenants and recommend that you impress them with your interest by stopping by to request an application.

Most tenants are flexible about the hours you can stop by to apply, however, it's probably best to avoid lunch and dinner hours. Mid-afternoons on weekdays are probably your best opportunity to fill out an application and possibly speak with a manager.

Parental Escort Policy

The Parental Escort Policy states that children under the age of 16 may not remain in the public space of Zona Rosa after 9:30 PM unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian over the age of 21.

How is the policy enforced?
If security determines that an individual or group is under the age of 16 and is unaccompanied by an adult after 9:30 PM, they will be asked to leave the center.

How will you identify children under the age of 16?
To enforce the rules relating to minors, patrons are required to carry a photo ID with proof of age.

What about teens that work at Zona Rosa?
Teens 16 and over that work at Zona Rosa after 9:30 PM will not be affected by this policy. This policy applies only to children 15 and under.

What if the individual is unable to provide appropriate identification?
The individual will be asked to leave the property until they can return with appropriate ID.

Is the policy 'one child to one adult'?
No. One adult can be responsible for several youths with proper supervision and control of their behavior.

Do I have to be with my child?
Yes. An adult must maintain visual contact with the children for whom he or she is responsible, if not, they will be asked to leave.

Are there any other rules of which I should be aware?
A complete list of the Zona Rosa's Code of Conduct is displayed on signage around the property and appears in this Guest Information section.

Violators of these codes may be subject to expulsion, banning, arrest and/or prosecution for criminal trespass.

Solicitation/Charitable Donations

Commercial Solicitation
Our tenants are focused during the business day on providing services to their customers and clients. It is at their preference that solicitation is prohibited on Zona Rosa property (without an appointment) and via the website. If you have a business offering you believe may be of interest to Zona Rosa tenants, please use the telephone number or mailing address found on their individual tenant page to request an appointment to present your materials.

Solicitation emails sent to tenants via our 'send a comment' option on the website are not forwarded.

Charitable Donations
This non-solicitation policy also applies to requests for charitable donations from Zona Rosa or our tenants. To request charitable donations, we advise the same -- use the telephone or send a written request to the manager of the location from which you wish to receive a donation for your organization. With respect to Zona Rosa, you should send your request in writing to:

Rosemary Salerno
General Manager
Zona Rosa
8640 N. Dixson Avenue
Kansas City, MO 64153

Please make your request a minimum of four weeks in advance of your charitable event. We receive many requests from organizations all over the metropolitan area and regret that we are not able to assist everyone who requests. Making your request early and for the benefit of a non-profit organization will be helpful.
